‘ve noticed lately that there has been an increase in the number of accidents around here involving motorcycles. We had a fatality on one last week in Cobb County. And, already this week we’ve had at least 3 involved in crashes. I think it may be because of rising gas prices. More of us are looking for a better, cheaper way to get to and from wherever we need to get to and from. And, for many that means a motorcycle or a scooter. The problem is many of us really don’t know how to ride, simple as it looks. Back in February I went through “The Riders Edge”, a motorcycle safety school run by Harley-Davidson of Atlanta and recognized by the state of Georgia I highly recommend that anyone considering a motorcycle or who already has one take this course! For one thing it’ll help you get your motorcycle license (yeah, ya’ really do have to have one). Equally as important is a study done a few years back that shows of the people who have taken the course, over 90% have not been involved in a serious accident while riding a motorcycle whereas over 75% of the people who haven’t have been in a bad wreck. Do the math.
